Roma Offer Porto Three Different Options for 19-Year-Old Winger Mora

FolioPitch.com – 11 August 2026 | Roma‘s pursuit of 19-year-old winger Rodrigo Mora from Porto continues to gain momentum, with the Italian club reportedly offering the Portuguese side three different options for the young talent. The Giallorossi are eager to secure Mora’s services, with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini having explicitly requested a new right-footed attacker this summer. After missing out on deals for Antonio Nusa, Crysencio Summerville, and Mason Greenwood, Mora has emerged as the latest option for Roma to strengthen their squad.

According to reports, Porto are seeking a fee in the region of €45m if they are to part ways with Mora this summer. However, Roma are unlikely to hand over the full amount outright, and are instead willing to offer three different options to the Portuguese side. The first option would be an initial loan deal at a cost of around €5m, with a future option or obligation to buy Mora for a fee in the region of €40m. This would allow Roma to assess Mora’s performance in a loan spell before committing to a permanent deal.

The second option would see Roma purchase Mora outright, but in two separate instalments of €20m and €25m in a year’s time. This would spread the cost of the transfer over two years, making it more manageable for Roma’s finances. The third option would be for Roma to buy Mora outright for a fee in the region of €25m-€30m, while offering Porto a 50% sell-on clause. This would allow Roma to secure Mora’s services while also providing Porto with a financial incentive for the player’s future success.

Porto are reportedly encouraged by Roma’s willingness to negotiate, and the Giallorossi are currently in pole position to strike a deal for Mora ahead of Galatasaray, who have also been linked with the teenager. With the transfer window set to close soon, Roma’s chances of securing Mora’s signature are growing stronger by the day.
