FolioPitch.com – 11 August 2026 | The MilanVibes certain sale to possible starter Amorim continues to rely on Loftus-Cheek as the new season approaches. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who was once thought to be leaving AC Milan, has now become a crucial part of the team. After three preseason friendlies, it is clear that Amorim is counting on him. The fact that Loftus-Cheek has started in all three games is a strong indication that he might not be on the list of players who will be told to pack their bags.

There are still doubts about the attacking midfielder positions, with Rafael Leao available for the right price, Christian Pulisic injured, and a loan being considered for Alphadjo Cisse. This leaves only Loftus-Cheek and Christopher Nkunku ahead of the Torino game. However, as of August 10, it seems like there is a high chance of Loftus-Cheek starting in round one against Torino, unless there are any dramatic market upheavals or a miraculous recovery for Pulisic. From August 24th, anything will be possible. The truth is that the former Chelsea man’s starts in that area of the pitch in preseason arise from a lack of alternatives. That being said, he has been one of the most relied upon players, amassing around 180 minutes of playing time across the three friendlies.
