Lazio Revive Interest in Juventus Midfielder Fabio Miretti

FolioPitch.com – 11 August 2026 | Lazio have reportedly revived their interest in Fabio Miretti, a midfielder from Juventus, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. The Biancocelesti have enquired about the 23-year-old’s availability, with a view to potentially loaning him out for the upcoming campaign.

Gennaro Gattuso, the head coach of Lazio, has identified a centre-back and a striker as his top priorities on the market, but the squad could do with another midfielder who can help implement his favorite 4-2-3-1 formation. Miretti, who has been on Lazio’s shortlist for quite some time, has been touted as a potential solution to this problem.

The Italian midfielder has been on loan at Genoa in the past, where he impressed with his versatile skills and ability to play between the lines. He has yet to lock down a starting role at Juventus, but his contract expires in 2028, which could make him a more attractive option for Lazio.

Lazio were previously in talks with Jonathan Asp Jensen, a midfielder from Bayern Munich, but were unable to close the deal. They also had interest in Luka Stojkovic, but Dinamo Zagreb’s asking price was too high. Marco Brescianini and Giovanni Fabbian from Fiorentina were also considered, but no concrete progress was made.

It remains to be seen whether Juventus will be willing to loan out Miretti, but Lazio are optimistic about his potential arrival. The Biancocelesti cannot afford to buy the Italian player, but a loan deal could be a viable option. Miretti’s fate could also depend on the Bianconeri’s arrivals and outgoings, and whether he would be considered important to Luciano Spalletti’s plans or surplus to requirements.

Juve are hoping to part ways with Teun Koopmeiners, and they’re tracking Franck Kessie, who could arrive as a replacement. The situation is complex, but one thing is certain – Lazio are eager to strengthen their squad, and Miretti could be the key to unlocking their midfield.

As the transfer window draws to a close, Lazio Enquire About Juventus Midfielder s Availability is becoming an increasingly important topic. Will they be able to secure Miretti’s services, or will they have to look elsewhere? Only time will tell.
