Lazio Eye Italian Striker With Expiring Contract Pushing for Move as Frattesi Deal Progresses

FolioPitch.com – 12 August 2026 | The transfer window may be closing soon, but Lazio are still working hard to strengthen their squad. According to recent reports, the Italian capital club are keen to sign Sassuolo forward Andrea Pinamonti, an Italian striker with an expiring contract who is reportedly pushing for a move to the Stadio Olimpico.

Pinamonti, 27, has been a long-time target for Lazio, who were unable to secure his services earlier in the window. However, it seems that the Biancocelesti are not giving up on the Italian international just yet.

As per Italian journalist Damiano Er Faina, Pinamonti is ‘pushing’ to join Lazio, despite the club’s initial inability to meet his club’s asking price. A loan deal with an option to buy is reportedly on the table, although the Neroverdi’s asking price is a significant €15 million.

The issue is that Pinamonti’s contract with Sassuolo will expire in June 2027, which means that a temporary deal would not be possible. However, the deal includes an option for a one-year extension, which would push back the deadline until 2028, allowing Lazio to sanction a move to the Italian capital club.

While Lazio are working hard to secure Pinamonti’s signature, the club are also making progress on another deal. Italian midfielder Davide Frattesi, who shares the same agent as Pinamonti and Lorenzo Lucca, is reportedly on the brink of joining the Biancocelesti.

The Aquile have been working tirelessly to secure Frattesi’s services, and it seems that their efforts are paying off. However, the deal is not without its challenges, and Lazio will need to navigate a complex web of negotiations to secure the Italian international’s signature.

In related news, Lazio’s plans for the rest of the transfer window are starting to take shape. With Frattesi reportedly on the brink of joining the club, it seems that the Biancocelesti are looking to bolster their midfield ranks. However, the club’s plans for the attack are also starting to take shape, with Pinamonti reportedly pushing for a move to the Italian capital club.

The question on every Lazio fan’s mind is: can the club secure both Frattesi and Pinamonti’s signatures before the transfer window closes? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: the Biancocelesti are working hard to strengthen their squad, and it seems that they are making progress on several fronts.

As the transfer window draws to a close, Lazio fans will be keeping a close eye on developments. Will the club be able to secure the signings of Frattesi and Pinamonti, or will their plans be scuppered at the last minute? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: the Biancocelesti are working hard to strengthen their squad, and it seems that they are making progress on several fronts.
