Dusan Vlahovic Reunites with Vincenzo Italiano at Besiktas in a Move That Raises Eyebrows in the Football World

FolioPitch.com – 13 August 2026 | The football world is abuzz with the news that Ex-Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has reunited with former Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano at Besiktas. This move comes as a surprise to many, given Vlahovic’s previous ambitions to remain in Serie A, with Napoli and Milan being his primary targets. However, it appears that none of these clubs were willing to meet his wage demands, leaving him with little choice but to accept the offer from Besiktas.

The Serbian centre-forward had been out of contract since June 30, when his agreement with Juventus expired. Despite his initial hopes of securing a move to the Premier League with Arsenal or Chelsea, or joining Barcelona or Atletico Madrid in LaLiga, he ultimately decided to take the plunge and join Besiktas. Reports suggest that Vlahovic has signed a three-year contract worth €8m per season, with performance-related bonuses that could take his earnings up to €10m.

The presence of Italiano, who coached Vlahovic to a successful spell at Fiorentina in 2021, is believed to have played a significant role in securing the deal. During his time at Fiorentina, Vlahovic scored an impressive 20 goals in 24 games, with four assists. This impressive form caught the attention of Juventus, who signed him for €85.4m plus add-ons in January 2022.

As Vlahovic touched down in Istanbul on Friday evening, he was met with hundreds of excited fans waiting outside the airport. The Serbian striker wasted no time in getting down to business, posing for photos and signing autographs for his new fans. His presence at Besiktas is set to be a significant boost to the club’s attacking lineup, and fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to see him in action.

In conclusion, Dusan Vlahovic’s reunion with Vincenzo Italiano at Besiktas is a move that has sent shockwaves through the football world. While it may have come as a surprise to many, it is clear that Vlahovic sees this as an opportunity to reignite his career and make a significant impact in the Turkish Super League.
