AC Milan Eyeing Bruno Fernandes as Manchester United’s Resolve May Be Tested

FolioPitch.com – 13 August 2026 | AC Milan are reportedly one of the clubs that could make a move for Manchester United‘s Bruno Fernandes if he becomes available. This comes after recent rumors that Saudi Pro-League side Al-Hilal emerged as contenders for the 31-year-old midfielder.

Fernandes has been a key player for United, scoring nine goals and recording 21 assists in the Premier League last season. His impressive performances have earned him a place in the history books, with his 21 assists making him the highest in the Premier League’s history.

Milan, Juventus, and Galatasaray are all understood to be keen on Fernandes, who has a £57m release clause available to overseas clubs. However, Fernandes’ contract has entered its final year, and there is an option to extend by a further season. According to reports, there is no agreement at the moment over an extension, and Fernandes’ preference is to stay at United for the remainder of his career.

Fernandes has been an integral part of United’s success, racking up 107 goals and 108 assists in 327 games for the club. He will undoubtedly go down as an all-time great at Old Trafford, and his experience and skill will be hard to replace.

It remains to be seen how United will react if a bid were to come in for Fernandes. The BBC reports that United’s resolve ‘could be about to be tested again’, suggesting that the club may be willing to consider selling Fernandes if the right offer comes along.

AC Milan‘s interest in Fernandes is significant, given the club’s recent history of signing high-profile players. The Italian giants have a reputation for developing young talent, and Fernandes would be a valuable addition to their squad.

The temptation for Milan to sign Fernandes is clear, given his impressive skillset and experience. However, it remains to be seen whether United will be willing to sell one of their key players, especially if he has a release clause available.

In conclusion, AC Milan’s interest in Bruno Fernandes is a significant development in the transfer market. The temptation for Milan to sign Fernandes is clear, but it remains to be seen whether United will be willing to sell one of their key players.
