Romano Milan Rejected Significant Loftus-Cheek Enquiries This Summer, How Amorim Was Convinced

FolioPitch.com – 17 August 2026 | AC Milan‘s summer transfer window has been filled with speculation surrounding the future of midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The Englishman’s inconsistent form had led many to believe that he would be one of the first players to be sold, but it appears that the Rossoneri have other plans. According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Milan rejected significant enquiries for Loftus-Cheek from both Italy and England in the last two weeks. The reason behind this decision lies in the player’s impressive performances under coach Ruben Amorim.

Amorim, who has been instrumental in re-establishing Loftus-Cheek’s confidence, has been vocal about the midfielder’s qualities. In a recent YouTube video, Romano revealed that the coach had been impressed with Loftus-Cheek’s work rate and skillset. The Italian journalist also mentioned that the player had scored crucial goals for the team, including a notable strike against Manchester United.

The fact that Milan put a hold on all enquiries for Loftus-Cheek suggests that they are willing to give him another chance to prove himself. Amorim’s faith in the player has clearly played a significant role in this decision. With the new season just around the corner, Loftus-Cheek will be looking to build on his impressive pre-season form and convince Amorim that he is worth investing in.

The renewal talks between Milan and Loftus-Cheek are expected to continue in the coming weeks. While there is no guarantee that the player will sign a new contract, it seems unlikely that he will be sold at this stage. Amorim’s confidence in Loftus-Cheek has undoubtedly played a crucial role in this decision, and it will be fascinating to see how the player responds to this new challenge.

In the end, it will be Amorim’s decision that will determine Loftus-Cheek’s future at Milan. If the coach continues to believe in the player’s abilities, it is likely that he will be given the opportunity to prove himself once again. For now, it seems that the midfielder has a chance to redeem himself and make a lasting impression on the Italian football scene.

In conclusion, the news of Milan rejecting significant enquiries for Loftus-Cheek is a testament to the faith that Amorim has in the player. As the new season gets underway, it will be exciting to see how Loftus-Cheek responds to this new challenge and whether he can finally prove himself as a key player for the Rossoneri.
