The statement, released on the Biancocelesti website on Thursday morning, ended weeks of speculation and cemented the move that will see the 27-year-old don the famous No.9 shirt for the upcoming 2026-27 season. This development, widely anticipated by fans and analysts alike, represents a clear statement of intent from the Rome-based club as they look to strengthen their attacking options. The news of the Official Lazio sign Pinamonti in permanent transfer from Sassuolo has generated considerable excitement across the Italian football landscape.

According to reports from reputable journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the two clubs reached an agreement over a total package worth €12 million, including performance-related bonuses. This fee reflects the growing market value of a forward who has consistently delivered goals in Serie A over the past three campaigns. The permanent nature of the deal provides stability for both the player and the club, allowing Lazio to plan their offensive strategies around a proven top-flight scorer. The Official Lazio sign Pinamonti in permanent transfer from Sassuolo marks the fifth major addition to the first-team squad this summer, following the arrivals of Davide Frattesi, Josip Sutalo, Danilho Doekhi, and Alfonso Pedraza.

Consistent Goal-Scoring Record

Pinamonti’s statistics underline his reliability as a forward. During the 2025-26 season, he scored nine goals and provided three assists while playing for Sassuolo. The previous campaign, 2024-25, saw him net ten goals in 36 Serie A appearances while on loan at Genoa. His performances in the 2023-24 season were equally impressive, with eleven goals from 38 top-flight matches. These numbers translate to an average of exactly ten league goals per season over the last three years, a consistent output that makes him a valuable asset for any team aiming for European qualification. His ability to find the back of the net against both top and lower-ranked opposition will be crucial for Lazio’s ambitions in both domestic and continental competitions.

Beyond the raw statistics, Pinamonti offers a physical presence, intelligent movement, and a strong work ethic. At 27 years old, he is entering his prime years as a striker, and the stability of a permanent move should allow him to fully focus on his football. The decision to hand him the No.9 jersey, a number steeped in history at Lazio, demonstrates the club’s faith in his abilities. Fans will remember the contributions of previous greats who wore that shirt, and Pinamonti will be eager to emulate their legacy. The Official Lazio sign Pinamonti in permanent transfer from Sassuolo is a move that aligns with the club’s strategic planning, blending immediate impact with long-term potential.

Strategic Significance for Lazio

Lazio’s sporting director and coach have been clear about their desire to add depth and quality to the squad. Pinamonti’s arrival addresses a key area of need, providing a reliable goal-scorer who can lead the line alone or partner with other forwards. His adaptability across different tactical setups makes him a versatile option. Moreover, his previous experience in Serie A with several clubs has prepared him for the demands of playing in front of passionate supporters at the Stadio Olimpico. The transfer also sends a positive message to the fanbase, showing that the club is willing to invest in players who can make an immediate difference.

From a financial perspective, the €12 million package represents a reasonable investment given Pinamonti’s age and goal-scoring record. In today’s inflated market, securing a proven Serie A striker at this price could prove to be a bargain. The bonuses included in the deal are likely tied to performance milestones, such as appearances and goals, ensuring that the club only pays additional fees if the player meets agreed targets. This structure minimizes risk and aligns the interests of both parties. The negotiation process between Lazio and Sassuolo was conducted smoothly, and the official announcement came without any last-minute complications.

The impact of this transfer extends beyond the pitch. Pinamonti’s arrival is expected to boost merchandise sales, as fans eagerly purchase shirts bearing his name and number. It also enhances the club’s brand visibility, particularly in the digital space where announcements and player content generate significant engagement. The social media team at Lazio will certainly capitalize on this moment to market the new signing. The Official Lazio sign Pinamonti in permanent transfer from Sassuolo has been trending across platforms, with fans and pundits sharing their opinions and predictions for the upcoming season.

Pre-Season Preparations and Expectations

Pinamonti will join his new teammates shortly for pre-season training, with the Serie A campaign set to begin in August. The coaching staff will work on integrating him into the squad’s playing style, focusing on link-up play with midfielders and understanding the movement patterns expected of the central striker. Given his familiarity with Italian football, he is likely to adapt quickly. Teammates have welcomed his arrival, and the locker room atmosphere is reportedly positive. The club’s management has expressed confidence that Pinamonti will hit the ground running, and they expect his goals to propel Lazio up the league table.

Comparisons with other strikers in the league are inevitable, but Pinamonti will be judged on his own merit. His work rate and professionalism have been praised by coaches who have worked with him previously. He is known to be a team player, often dropping deep to involve others in build-up play while still maintaining a threat in the box. This dual role will be valuable in matches where Lazio faces defensive opponents who park the bus. Having a player who can create chances for himself and others adds a new dimension to the attack.
