AC Milan’s Double Swoop: Inacio and Endrick to Boost Champions League Ambitions

FolioPitch.com – 09 October 2026 | AC Milan are preparing a major double swoop for Sporting CP defender Gonçalo Inacio and Real Madrid forward Endrick as they aim to strengthen their squad for a Champions League push, according to GdS All-in for the Champions League Milan line up swoop for Sporting CP and Real Madrid duo. The Rossoneri management, led by Gerry Cardinale, are determined to invest in January to bring the club back to the top and challenge for trophies.

Unlike last winter, when funds were tight and Niclas Füllkrug arrived on loan to address an attacking crisis, Milan are ready to spend big. The club spent €150m in the summer and will continue to back manager Ruben Amorim with signings that meet the club’s high standards. The January transfer window opens on December 28th, and Milan are already laying the groundwork for two high-profile additions.

Inacio: The Defensive Priority

Milan’s primary defensive target is Gonçalo Inacio, the Sporting CP captain and left-footed centre-back. Amorim, who launched Inacio’s career at Sporting, is keen on a reunion. Inacio renewed his contract until 2030 last December but is no longer considered unsellable. Last summer, Milan made an offer exceeding €40m, but Sporting insisted on finding a replacement first, which never materialised.

Inacio is open to a move to Serie A, where he can test himself in one of Europe’s top leagues. The 25-year-old has shown signs of unhappiness, including two own goals this season, and is frustrated by his lack of playing time for Portugal. His ability to thrive in the build-up phase makes him ideal for Amorim’s back three.

Endrick: The Brazilian Prodigy

The situation with Endrick is more straightforward. Real Madrid are willing to agree to a dry loan with a high option to buy and a buy-back clause, similar to the deal that took Nico Paz to Como. Endrick, a former Palmeiras starlet, would fit perfectly into Amorim’s system as a right-sided attacking midfielder who can cut in on his left foot and combine with Gonçalo Ramos and Christian Pulisic.

The Brazilian has informed his agents that if he doesn’t find playing time under José Mourinho in the coming months, he would like to try his luck in Serie A. Cardinale, who has an excellent relationship with Roc Nation, believes Milan are in pole position to secure his signature. This double swoop is part of GdS All-in for the Champions League Milan line up swoop for Sporting CP and Real Madrid duo, as the club aims to compete on all fronts.

Strategic Investment

Cardinale’s ambition is clear: he wants Milan to lift a trophy this season. The January market represents a crucial opportunity to address the defensive gaps that were not filled in the summer after the arrivals of Mario Gila and Sankhoun Diawara. With the club’s sights set on Champions League success, these signings could prove decisive.

Milan’s management is performing careful evaluations to ensure the deals are feasible. While big clubs rarely sell their best players mid-season, Milan are prepared to pounce if the conditions are right. The potential arrivals of Inacio and Endrick would signal the club’s intent to return to the European elite.

In conclusion, AC Milan’s pursuit of Gonçalo Inacio and Endrick underscores their determination to bolster the squad for a Champions League challenge. As GdS All-in for the Champions League Milan line up swoop for Sporting CP and Real Madrid duo highlights, the Rossoneri are ready to invest significantly to achieve their goals. With Cardinale’s backing and Amorim’s tactical vision, Milan fans have reason to be optimistic about the second half of the season.
