Atalanta vs Venezia: Krstovic Double Seals 3-1 Win in Serie A Clash

FolioPitch.com – 13 October 2026 | Atalanta secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Venezia at the New Balance Arena on Monday evening, with Nikola Krstovic scoring twice to end La Dea’s three-match losing streak. The Serie A Atalanta vs Venezia official line-ups and live updates showed Maurizio Sarri’s side adopting a 4-2-3-1 formation, a tactical shift from their usual 4-3-3, which paid immediate dividends.

Sarri handed a start to Krstovic up front, relegating Gianluca Scamacca to the bench, while Charles De Ketelaere operated as an attacking midfielder with Eljif Elmas and Jonathan Rowe on the flanks. Venezia, still searching for their first point of the season, lined up in a 3-5-2 with Akor Adams and John Yeboah leading the attack, and Toma Basic returning from injury to anchor the midfield.

The match exploded into life early. Franck Kessié opened the scoring in the 4th minute, converting a precise assist from Krstovic. Just two minutes later, Krstovic turned provider to scorer, finishing off a pass from Elmas to double the lead. The Serie A Atalanta vs Venezia official line-ups and live updates highlighted Atalanta’s dominance, with 64% possession and 22 shots compared to Venezia’s 19.

Venezia pulled one back in the 37th minute through Antoine Hainaut, who latched onto Richie Sagrado’s assist. However, any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Juan Jesus received a second yellow card in the 42nd minute, reducing the visitors to ten men. The Serie A Atalanta vs Venezia official line-ups and live updates confirmed the sending off, which forced Venezia to play the entire second half a man down.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Venezia fought bravely, but Atalanta’s superiority told. Elmas added a third in the 89th minute to seal the win. The victory lifts Atalanta to 9 points from six games, while Venezia remain rooted to the bottom with zero points.
