A Bola: Milan Yet to Move for Hjulmand – No Contact Made with Sporting or Player

FolioPitch.com – 26 June 2026 | A Bola Milan yet to move for Hjulmand neither Sporting nor player has been contacted, according to a report from Portuguese outlet A Bola. Despite growing speculation linking the Danish midfielder to AC Milan, no official steps have been taken by the Rossoneri. The report, relayed by MilanNews, confirms that as of now, neither Sporting CP nor Morten Hjulmand himself have heard from the Italian club, let alone received an offer.

The rumors began shortly after Ruben Amorim’s appointment as Milan’s head coach, with Hjulmand being one of his former protégés at Sporting. However, despite the persistent links, A Bola Milan yet to move for Hjulmand neither Sporting nor player has been contacted. The midfielder’s contract includes a European team release clause—significantly lower than the Premier League clause—which could make a move financially feasible for Milan. Yet, the club is showing no urgency, preferring to let Amorim assess his squad and identify needs in person before diving into the market.

Milan’s silence on the matter is telling. While the possibility remains open, especially given Hjulmand’s quality and the favorable release clause, the Rossoneri are not rushing. They have other priorities, including strengthening positions that were identified as weak last season. Furthermore, after spending heavily on a midfielder in the previous summer, the club is cautious about allocating significant funds to the same area again. This strategic restraint explains why A Bola Milan yet to move for Hjulmand neither Sporting nor player has been contacted.

Hjulmand, who has been a key figure for Sporting, is aware that he can leave for half his release clause this summer. However, the lack of contact from Milan suggests that any potential transfer is on hold. The player’s camp remains patient, understanding that the mercato is just beginning and that many deals take time to materialize. For now, the rumor mill continues to churn, but the facts remain clear: A Bola Milan yet to move for Hjulmand neither Sporting nor player has been contacted.

The situation underscores a broader trend in this transfer window: clubs are being more deliberate, especially after major managerial changes. Amorim’s arrival at Milan brings a tactical shift, and he wants to evaluate his current squad before making any significant additions. This pragmatic approach is likely to shape the club’s entire summer strategy, with Hjulmand potentially being a target only if other moves fall through or if funds become available from player sales.

In conclusion, while the rumors linking Morten Hjulmand to AC Milan are persistent, the reality is that no official contact has been made. A Bola Milan yet to move for Hjulmand neither Sporting nor player has been contacted sums up the current status. Milan fans will have to wait and see if Amorim eventually pushes for the signing, but for now, the story remains one of speculation without action.
