Ibrahimovic’s Praise for Alajbegovic Sparks Milan Transfer Speculation

FolioPitch.com – 27 June 2026 | In the world of football, few things generate as much buzz as a young star catching the eye of a legend. The phrase ‘Whole world is talking Ibrahimovic s comments fuel Alajbegovic to Milan rumours’ perfectly encapsulates the current frenzy surrounding Kerim Alajbegovic. The 18-year-old Bosnian winger has become a hot topic after AC Milan legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic publicly lauded his performance at the World Cup, igniting speculation about a potential move to the Rossoneri.

The rumours first resurfaced on Thursday when SportMediaset reported that Milan had renewed their interest in Alajbegovic, a player previously pursued by former sporting director Igli Tare. The report indicated that despite strong competition, the Diavolo are convinced by his qualities. To further solidify the link, the same source doubled down on Friday, revealing that a summit took place at Casa Milan attended by owner Gerry Cardinale, CEO Massimo Calvelli, directors Hendrik Almstadt and Bobby Gardiner, and chief scout Donato Lomonte. During the hour-long meeting, Cardinale outlined his revitalization plan for the club and reiterated his desire to meet the transfer demands of coach Ruben Amorim. Alajbegovic was identified as a ‘top target’ for the team.

While the internal discussions are significant, it is Ibrahimovic’s public comments that have truly set the rumor mill ablaze. The Swedish icon, now a senior advisor at Milan, spoke to Fox Sports about Alajbegovic’s performance in the Bosnia-Qatar match. ‘The whole world is talking about the goal, but for me the goal isn’t the most important thing. The most important thing is courage. An 18-year-old boy in a World Cup, under pressure, in front of millions of spectators, plays as if he owns the stadium,’ Ibrahimovic said. He continued, ‘That’s rare. He’s not the typical young player who just hoped to have a good game. He thought he was the best player on the pitch. The shot was beautiful, yes. The technique was perfect, yes. But what impressed me was his confidence before the goal. The way he demanded the ball and attacked the goal. Great players don’t wait for opportunities, they create them. People will say this is the start of his career. Maybe. But if he maintains this mentality, this goal will be remembered as the moment football realised who Kerim Alajbegovic is. The World Cup is where stars are born. Today, a new star emerged.’

Ibrahimovic’s words carry immense weight given his own legendary status and his role at Milan. His praise aligns perfectly with the narrative that the ‘Whole world is talking Ibrahimovic s comments fuel Alajbegovic to Milan rumours.’ The timing is impeccable, as Alajbegovic continues to impress on the global stage, showcasing the kind of fearlessness that Ibrahimovic himself embodied. The young winger’s ability to demand the ball and take charge in high-pressure situations is exactly the mentality Milan are looking to cultivate in their squad.

As the transfer window approaches, the buzz around Alajbegovic only grows louder. The ‘Whole world is talking Ibrahimovic s comments fuel Alajbegovic to Milan rumours’ is not just a headline but a reflection of the excitement and anticipation surrounding this potential move. Milan’s rebuilding project under Cardinale and Amorim is gaining momentum, and adding a player with Alajbegovic’s potential and confidence could be a statement signing. Moreover, Ibrahimovic’s mentorship could be invaluable for a young star looking to make his mark in European football.
