Tonali’s Endorsement Could Pave Way for Leao’s Tottenham Move, Ordine Suggests

FolioPitch.com – 07 July 2026 | The ongoing transfer saga surrounding AC Milan‘s Rafael Leao has taken a new twist, as journalist Franco Ordine suggests that Sandro Tonali could act as an endorser for Leao’s potential move to Tottenham. This revelation, dubbed “Ordine suggests Tonali could act as endorser for Leao s potential move to Tottenham A possible route,” highlights the growing possibility of the Portuguese winger leaving San Siro this summer.

The relationship between Leao and Milan has reached a breaking point. Reports from last week indicated that club owner Gerry Cardinale was ‘done’ with the player, and Leao’s own interviews have made his desire to depart clear. With Ruben Amorim’s tactical plans at Milan seemingly not aligning with Leao’s strengths, a summer exit appears inevitable. Tottenham, under manager Roberto De Zerbi, have emerged as a feasible destination.

According to Ordine’s analysis on QSVS, Tonali, who recently moved to Spurs, has been a key figure in facilitating this potential transfer. Having played alongside Leao at Milan, the Italian midfielder is familiar with his qualities and could be advocating for the move behind the scenes. “We’re talking about Leao, who’s leaving AC Milan and could be of interest to De Zerbi. According to his colleague Sandro Tonali, who recently signed a contract with Spurs, and the Tottenham manager, they may have discussed the matter, given that the midfielder is familiar with the Rossoneri’s number 10. This should be kept alive as a possible route to the Portuguese’s exit,” Ordine stated, reinforcing that Ordine suggests Tonali could act as endorser for Leao s potential move to Tottenham A possible route.

Leao’s skills as a left winger are well known in European football. Since joining Milan from Lille in 2019, the 24-year-old has been a dynamic force, contributing to their Serie A title win in 2022. However, contract disputes and poor performances this season have soured his connection with the fans and management. A move to Tottenham could revitalize his career under De Zerbi, who favors attacking football and wide creativity.

Tottenham’s interest is not new, but the endorsement from Tonali adds weight to the rumors. Tonali himself joined Spurs in a high-profile transfer and has quickly become a key midfield presence. His endorsement could sway Leao’s decision and help negotiate terms between the clubs. The prospect of a Portuguese duo at Tottenham—Leao linking up with compatriots like Pedro Porro—is tempting.

Milan, for their part, are open to selling if a suitable offer arrives. Financial constraints and the desire to rebuild under Amorim mean that Leao could be sacrificed for funds. Tottenham, with their need for a left-sided attacker, view Leao as a prime target. The negotiation could involve a fee around €70-80 million, though no official bid has been made yet.

As the summer transfer window approaches, the narrative around Ordine suggests Tonali could act as endorser for Leao s potential move to Tottenham A possible route continues to gain traction. If Tonali indeed supports the move, it could expedite a deal that benefits all parties: Leao gets a fresh start, Tottenham add a star, and Milan receive a hefty transfer fee.

Conclusion: While nothing is finalized, the endorsement from Tonali, as highlighted by Ordine, presents a credible path for Leao to join Tottenham. The coming weeks will determine if this route materializes into a transfer.
