Kevin Zeroli’s Surprise Milan Futuro Stint: Temporary Move Amid Transfer Interest

FolioPitch.com – 15 July 2026 | The football world was taken aback when news broke that highly touted AC Milan youth product Kevin Zeroli had been assigned to the club’s second team, Milan Futuro, for preseason training. As details emerge, the reasoning behind this decision becomes clearer: MN Zeroli begins surprise stint with Milan Futuro why it is only temporary, tied to injury management and a flurry of transfer inquiries from clubs across Italy and abroad.

Zeroli, 21, was once considered one of the brightest prospects to emerge from Milan’s academy in recent years. However, his development has been stymied by a series of injuries over the past two seasons. Last season, he started on loan at Monza but the spell was cut short due to lack of playing time and tactical fit. He then reunited with former Milan youth coach Ignazio Abate at Juve Stabia in Serie B, where he found more consistent minutes and ended the campaign positively.

Now back at Milan, expectations were that Zeroli would fight for a place in the senior squad under new manager Ruben Amorim. Instead, he was surprisingly allocated to Milan Futuro, the club’s new B team competing in Serie C. According to reports, Zeroli has been training with the Futuro since Tuesday under coach Sergio Navarro. But this stint is not a demotion; rather, it is a temporary measure designed to get him match fit and evaluate his condition before making a decision on his immediate future. MN Zeroli begins surprise stint with Milan Futuro why it is only temporary is a question answered by the club’s desire to protect his value while gauging interest from suitors.

The report from MilanNews indicates that several clubs in Serie A, Serie B, and even teams abroad have been making inquiries about Zeroli. The midfielder’s potential remains undeniable, and Milan are keen to avoid repeating the situation with Mattia Liberali, where they lost leverage over his contract. As such, the club is considering offering Zeroli a new contract extension to secure his long-term future while exploring loan or permanent transfer options.

For now, Zeroli’s focus is on regaining full fitness and impressing in training with Milan Futuro. The temporary nature of his stint means that a decision on his next move is expected in the coming days or weeks. Whether he stays with the B team to gain playing time or departs on loan remains to be seen. What is clear is that MN Zeroli begins surprise stint with Milan Futuro why it is only temporary is a narrative shaped by strategic planning and market dynamics.

The young midfielder’s journey has been one of ups and downs. After graduating from Milan’s Primavera, he made his senior debut but found regular minutes hard to come by. His loan to Monza was intended to provide Serie A experience, but it did not work out. The move to Juve Stabia allowed him to rebuild confidence in Serie B. Now, with Milan Futuro providing a platform for competitive football in Serie C, Zeroli has the chance to prove his fitness and form without the pressure of first-team expectations.

From a club perspective, the decision also makes sense financially. By keeping Zeroli in-house and having him train with the B team, Milan can showcase his abilities to potential buyers without committing him to a full season with the senior squad where he might not play. The interest from multiple clubs suggests that his market value is still high, and a short-term loan or sale could benefit all parties.

As the transfer window progresses, Zeroli’s situation will be closely monitored. The midfielder is determined to overcome his injury setbacks and fulfill the promise that once made him one of Italy’s most exciting young talents. Whether he does that at Milan or elsewhere, his immediate path involves a stint with Milan Futuro. The keyword here is temporary: MN Zeroli begins surprise stint with Milan Futuro why it is only temporary should reassure fans that the club has not abandoned its prodigy, but is instead managing his career with care.

In conclusion, Kevin Zeroli’s assignment to Milan Futuro is a calculated move by AC Milan to balance his development, fitness, and transfer market interests. While it came as a surprise, the temporary nature of the arrangement suggests that bigger plans are in motion. As interest from Serie A, Serie B, and abroad continues, Zeroli’s future remains one of the most intriguing storylines of the summer transfer window.
