Tuttosport’s Verdict: AC Milan’s Pre-Season Campaign Raises More Questions Than Answers

FolioPitch.com – 12 August 2026 | The pre-season campaign for AC Milan has been a mixed bag, with two draws and a loss in Australasia leaving fans and pundits alike scratching their heads. According to Tuttosport, the squad has not been entirely convincing, with a mix of positives and negatives emerging from the trip.

One of the main areas of concern for the Rossoneri is the lack of quality on the flanks, with Davide Bartesaghi and Alexis Saelemaekers failing to impress. The defence has also been a source of worry, with a mixture of goals conceded rather than a single exposed weakness. The attack, while still a work in progress, has shown glimpses of promise, particularly with Luka Modric and Goncalo Ramos impressing.

Cristian Comotto, the young Italian defender, has been a bright spot for the team, building on a solid last season and making a strong case for himself this year. However, the overall performance of the squad has raised more questions than answers, leaving coach Stefano Pioli and his team with a lot to work on in the 12 days leading up to the Serie A season kick-off.

Tuttosport’s analysis of the current Milan squad highlights the need for improvement in several key areas, including the midfield, defence, and attack. While there are certainly positives to take from the pre-season campaign, the team’s overall performance has been underwhelming, and it remains to be seen how they will fare in the upcoming season.

As the team heads into a critical period of preparation, fans will be eagerly watching to see how they address the issues that have been raised. With the Serie A season just around the corner, the pressure is on for Milan to get their act together and produce the kind of performances that will see them battling for the top spots in the league.

Ultimately, the verdict of Tuttosport’s analysis is clear: AC Milan’s pre-season campaign has been a mixed bag, with more questions than answers. But with a strong squad and a dedicated coaching team, there is still hope that the Rossoneri can turn things around and produce a successful season.

In the end, it will be up to Stefano Pioli and his team to turn the negatives into positives and make the necessary adjustments to get the squad firing on all cylinders. With the clock ticking, the pressure is on for Milan to deliver.

Here are some of the key takeaways from Tuttosport’s analysis:

• Davide Bartesaghi and Alexis Saelemaekers have failed to impress on the flanks.
• The defence has been a source of worry, with a mixture of goals conceded.
• Luka Modric and Goncalo Ramos have impressed in the attack.
• Cristian Comotto has been a bright spot for the team, building on a solid last season.

With the Serie A season just around the corner, AC Milan will need to address the issues that have been raised by Tuttosport’s analysis if they are to produce a successful campaign.
