Milan Futuro Coach Massimo Oddo Leaves Club: Official Announcement

FolioPitch.com – 30 June 2026 | In a move that signals a new direction for their second team, Official AC Milan announce termination of Massimo Oddo s contract as Futuro coach. The decision, confirmed by the club on Monday, ends Oddo’s tenure a year early, with his contract originally set to run until 2027.

The Official AC Milan announce termination of Massimo Oddo s contract as Futuro coach comes after a turbulent season for the Rossoneri’s reserve side. Milan Futuro faced relegation from Serie C to the fourth tier in the 2024-25 campaign, though the team managed to secure a play-off spot before being eliminated by Chievo Verona. Despite the relegation, the season showed signs of progress in terms of results compared to their debut in the third division.

According to the club’s statement, Oddo himself chose to pursue new professional opportunities, and the club accepted his decision. “AC Milan announces that, as of July 1st, the professional relationship with Massimo Oddo as Head Coach of Milan Futuro has come to an end,” the statement read. “The decision made by the Coach, who has chosen to pursue new professional projects, has been accepted by the Club. AC Milan would like to thank Coach Oddo for the professionalism, commitment, and dedication shown during his time with the Rossoneri, and wishes him every success and satisfaction, both personally and professionally, in the future.”

The Official AC Milan announce termination of Massimo Oddo s contract as Futuro coach is part of a broader restructuring at Milan, with the club undergoing significant changes this summer. The Futuro project, designed to bridge the gap between the youth academy and the first team, now faces uncertainty as the club searches for a new head coach. Oddo’s departure leaves a void in leadership, especially as the team prepares for life in the fourth division.

Oddo, a former World Cup winner with Italy in 2006, had taken charge of Milan Futuro in 2024. His experience with the club’s youth system was seen as a key asset, but the relegation ultimately sealed his fate. The club’s acknowledgment of his professionalism indicates a mutual respect despite the early exit.

Looking ahead, Milan will need to find a replacement quickly to stabilize the Futuro squad. The new coach will inherit a team that showed resilience in the play-offs but needs a fresh start in the lower league. The Official AC Milan announce termination of Massimo Oddo s contract as Futuro coach marks the end of a brief chapter, but the club’s commitment to the second team remains clear.

In conclusion, the departure of Massimo Oddo signals a new era for Milan Futuro. While his tenure ended earlier than expected, his contributions to the development of young players will not be forgotten. The club now turns its attention to finding a successor capable of rebuilding the team and leading them back to Serie C.
