Milan’s Uncertain Future: A Season Opener on the Horizon

FolioPitch.com – 12 August 2026 | As the season draws near, AC Milan finds themselves in a precarious situation. The uncertainty surrounding the squad is palpable, and the team is racing against time to get everyone ready for the season opener. The Rossoneri are still struggling to finalize their starting lineup, and the pre-season squads have not provided a clear indication of what to expect. With the mercato still in play, there are several areas where signings could be beneficial, but the clock is ticking.

According to recent reports, Milan is facing an uphill battle to have their players ready for the first matchday. The team is still a way off from achieving their desired level under coach Ruben Amorim, and the integration of new players like Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot will take time. Maignan, in particular, may undergo a role change, which will require additional adaptation. Furthermore, Christian Pulisic and Mario Gila have barely played and are working on recovering at Milanello, aiming to regain their top form before the opener. With only 12 days remaining, the turnaround is anything but ideal.

The lack of a clear starting XI is a concern, and the team’s ability to adapt will be put to the test. The mercato still has a few areas where signings could make a significant impact, but time is running out. The pressure is mounting, and the team will need to rally together to overcome the uncertainty surrounding the squad and be ready for the season opener.

In conclusion, the uncertainty surrounding the Milan squad is a pressing concern, and the team is racing against time to get everyone ready for the season opener. The stakes are high, and the outcome will be closely watched by fans and pundits alike.
