AC Milan’s Pervis Estupinan Under Fire After 1-1 Draw with Inter: Fans Demand Change

FolioPitch.com – 06 August 2026 | The 1-1 draw between AC Milan and Inter in a pre-season friendly has left fans of the Rossoneri fuming, particularly with the performance of Pervis Estupinan. Milan fans rage at Estupinan after 1-1 Inter draw He s got to go – and many are calling for his head after a string of errors that gifted Inter the equalising goal. The Ecuador international came on at half-time and promptly gave the ball away for the goal, then failed to cut out the Nicolò Barella roll across for Federico Dimarco to tap in.

Estupinan’s performance has left many questioning whether he is good enough for the team, and fans are now demanding that he be sold. ‘If anyone still had any doubts on the total inadequacy of Pervis Estupinan, the first nightmare seven minutes of his second half were the clearest evidence. A player like this cannot be first choice at Milan and must be sold as soon as possible,’ wrote Lorenzo Lollo.

It’s not just Estupinan’s on-field performance that has fans up in arms, but also the fact that he was given the chance to prove himself despite the reported interest from Aston Villa. The Premier League side had been linked with a move for the left-back, but coach Ruben Amorim asked the club to hold off so that he could evaluate the player in pre-season training.

Now, however, it seems that Villa have moved on and signed Matteo Ruggeri from Atletico Madrid instead. This has left fans feeling that Milan have missed out on a good opportunity to sell Estupinan and bring in a better player.

Estupinan’s late yellow card for clattering into the back of Yann Bisseck also didn’t help, forcing the defender off with a head injury. The 1-1 draw may have been a decent result for Milan, but it’s Estupinan’s performance that will be remembered for the wrong reasons. Coach Ruben Amorim will have to make a decision on his future, and it’s hard to see him remaining at the club.
