AC Milan Keenly Monitoring Dario Osorio Amid Rafael Leao Uncertainty

FolioPitch.com – 07 August 2026 | AC Milan‘s search for the perfect attacking midfielder continues, with the latest name to enter the frame being Dario Osorio, a talented winger from FC Midtjylland. According to reports, the Rossoneri have been closely following the Chilean star with great interest, as revealed by Italian journalist Matteo Moretto. This development comes as a welcome boost to Milan’s transfer efforts, which have been ongoing since the departure of key targets like Konstantinos Karetsas and Kerim Alajbegovic.

Osorio, a 22-year-old left-footed player who predominantly operates on the right, has already caught the eye of AC Milan’s scouts. The Chilean international has impressed with his performances for Midtjylland, providing two assists in two games this season, while also scoring six goals and six assists in 25 league games last season. His impressive displays have not gone unnoticed, with Transfermarkt valuing him at €15m.

The interest in Osorio is not a new development, as AC Milan have been linked with the winger since January 2023, when he was playing in Chile. In 2024, it was reported that Milan sent scouts to watch him play in Denmark, indicating a genuine interest in securing his services. However, the sale of Rafael Leao might be a crucial factor in determining whether AC Milan will make a move for Osorio. With reports suggesting that Leao may remain at the club, the Rossoneri might need to reassess their priorities and explore alternative options.

Osorio’s potential signing would be a significant coup for AC Milan, given his impressive skills and experience. The Chilean national team player has already made an impact in international football, scoring a goal in a match against Congo before the World Cup, which Chile won 2-1. While the team ultimately failed to qualify for the tournament, Osorio’s performance has solidified his reputation as a talented young player.

As the transfer window approaches, AC Milan will be closely monitoring the situation surrounding Osorio. With their interest in the winger well-documented, the Rossoneri will be eager to secure his signature if the opportunity arises. However, the uncertainty surrounding Leao’s future at the club might affect their plans, making the coming weeks crucial for AC Milan’s transfer efforts.

In conclusion, AC Milan’s interest in Dario Osorio is a significant development in their search for a new attacking midfielder. With his impressive skills and experience, the Chilean winger would be a valuable addition to the team. However, the sale of Rafael Leao might be a crucial factor in determining whether AC Milan will make a move for Osorio. As the transfer window approaches, the Rossoneri will be closely monitoring the situation, eager to secure the signature of this talented young player.
