Belghali on the Verge of Olympique Marseille Move as Verona Receive €13m Offer

FolioPitch.com – 25 July 2026 | Rafik Belghali, the Algerian international right-back, has been making waves in the transfer market with his potential move to Olympique Marseille. According to reports, the Ligue 1 side has submitted a formal proposal to Hellas Verona, offering a €13m package deal, which includes a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season. This development is a significant step forward in Belghali’s potential transfer to Marseille, with the player’s representatives reportedly optimistic about the chances of the deal being finalized.

Belghali, 24, has been in high demand following his impressive displays at the 2026 World Cup and his consistent performances for Hellas Verona in the Serie A. Despite his side’s relegation, the young full-back has caught the attention of several top clubs, including Inter and Roma, who see him as a cheaper alternative to other targets. However, Marseille’s offer appears to be the most concrete and is expected to be the preferred choice for Belghali, given the opportunity to play in the Ligue 1 and potentially in the Champions League.

The €13m offer from Marseille is also a significant profit for Verona, who paid only €2m to acquire Belghali from KV Mechelen last summer. This move would not only bring in a substantial amount of money for the Italian club but also allow them to reinvest in their squad and potentially attract other top talent in the transfer market.

Belghali’s potential transfer to Marseille is a significant development in the world of football, and fans of the Algerian international will be eagerly waiting to see if the deal is finalized. The young full-back’s performances in the past season have earned him a reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in the game, and a move to Marseille would be a significant step forward in his career.

In conclusion, the transfer of Rafik Belghali to Olympique Marseille is a move that is being closely watched by football fans around the world. With the €13m offer on the table and the player’s representatives optimistic about the chances of the deal being finalized, it seems likely that Belghali will join the French club in the near future. The impact of this move on both teams and the player’s career will be significant, and fans will be eagerly waiting to see how it all unfolds.
