Ibrahimovic Eyes Swedish Duo: Bergvall and Svensson on Milan’s Radar

FolioPitch.com – 26 June 2026 | In a surprising twist to AC Milan‘s summer transfer strategy, reports indicate that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is pushing for a Swedish influx at San Siro. The headline, Cohen Ibrahimovic adds another Swede to Milan wishlist Svensson appreciated alongside Bergvall, has gained traction as the Rossoneri look beyond the Portuguese market. According to sources, Ibrahimovic has identified two young Swedish talents—Lucas Bergvall and Daniel Svensson—as priority targets, signaling a potential shift in the club’s recruitment focus.

The news, first reported by journalist Luca Cohen and highlighted by MilanPosts, suggests that Cohen Ibrahimovic adds another Swede to Milan wishlist Svensson appreciated alongside Bergvall, with the duo seen as key to revitalizing the squad. Bergvall, a highly-rated midfielder from Djurgårdens IF, has been linked to Milan for weeks. However, the addition of Svensson, a versatile full-back currently at Borussia Dortmund, marks a new dimension to the club’s ambitions.

Svensson, 23, enjoyed a solid season with BVB, making 33 appearances across all competitions and scoring four goals, including two in the Champions League. His ability to play on the left flank has raised questions about the future of Davide Bartesaghi, but Ibrahimovic’s interest appears genuine. The phrase Cohen Ibrahimovic adds another Swede to Milan wishlist Svensson appreciated alongside Bergvall reflects the growing influence of the Swedish legend in the club’s transfer decisions.

While Milan’s recent links have centered on Portuguese talents, particularly following the arrival of coach Ruben Amorim and the involvement of super agent Jorge Mendes, the Swedish connection offers an alternative path. Ibrahimovic, who serves as a senior advisor to the club’s management, has reportedly been impressed by the technical and physical attributes of both Bergvall and Svensson. The latter’s performances in the Bundesliga and Champions League have not gone unnoticed, despite his limited playing time at the World Cup.

The potential double signing would not only strengthen Milan’s squad but also enhance their commercial appeal in Scandinavia. However, negotiations are still in early stages, and it remains to be seen whether the club can secure both players. The narrative that Cohen Ibrahimovic adds another Swede to Milan wishlist Svensson appreciated alongside Bergvall is a clear indication of the direction Ibrahimovic wants to take.

In conclusion, AC Milan’s summer transfer window is shaping up to be intriguing, with the possibility of a Swedish revolution. The combination of Ibrahimovic’s vision and the talents of Bergvall and Svensson could provide the Rossoneri with a fresh identity. As the mercato progresses, all eyes will be on San Siro to see if these ambitions materialize.
