Mount, who joined United from Chelsea in a high-profile transfer two years ago, has had an inconsistent spell at Old Trafford, battling injuries and form. Yet, the club’s hierarchy remains committed to him, seeing him as a key figure both now and in the future. This stance has been echoed by recent reports that Amorim plans to build his midfield around players like Mount, rather than offloading them.

The links to Milan were initially reported by MilanPress, which stated that Mount had been offered to the Serie A side. Given AC Milan’s history of signing former Chelsea academy graduates—such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Fikayo Tomori—the rumor seemed plausible. However, no contact has been made between the clubs, and with the MEN Mount to Milan links shut down quickly with Man Utd importance confirmed, it is clear that Mount’s immediate future lies in Manchester.

This development also highlights Manchester United’s current transfer stance under Amorim. In conclusion, Mason Mount will not be moving to AC Milan in this transfer window.
