AC Milan Braces for Pivotal Week: Amorim Arrives, Gila Talks Intensify

FolioPitch.com – 05 July 2026 | AC Milan is gearing up for a crucial week that could shape the club’s immediate future, as highlighted by Gazzetta dello Sport. The focus is squarely on GdS Amorim s arrival and Gila negotiations Milan preparing for important week, with two major developments set to unfold.

According to sources, newly appointed manager Ruben Amorim is scheduled to land in Milan on Monday, marking his first physical presence at the club since signing his contract in mid-June. Amorim, who has been working remotely from Ibiza, will visit Casa Milan on Monday before heading to Milanello on Tuesday to familiarize himself with the training facilities. His official press presentation is expected later in the week, ahead of the team’s Raduno on July 13.

The Portuguese tactician has been deeply involved in transfer operations, notably securing Goncalo Ramos for a record €70 million fee following discussions with owner Gerry Cardinale. Now, Amorim is applying similar pressure in the defensive market, personally engaging with Spanish center-back Mario Gila. The GdS Amorim s arrival and Gila negotiations Milan preparing for important week also emphasizes the need to finalize Gila’s arrival from Lazio.

Milan and Lazio are close to an agreement, with the Rossoneri offering €22 million plus bonuses, while Lazio demands €25 million plus bonuses. The player has already agreed to a five-year contract worth €5 million per season, plus €5 million in agent fees. Agent Alejandro Camaño is actively mediating to bridge the gap, and an agreement could be reached as early as Monday.

The urgency is driven by interest from Napoli and Atalanta, who could hijack the deal if Milan delays. Once Gila is secured, the club may shift focus to other targets, including Real Madrid’s young defender Victor Valdepeñas, who shares the same agency as Gila. Valdepeñas made his debut for Real Madrid in December and was previously on the radar of former sporting director Igli Tare.

This pivotal period underscores how GdS Amorim s arrival and Gila negotiations Milan preparing for important week are intertwined. Amorim’s hands-on approach has accelerated negotiations, and his presence in Milan should streamline further decisions. The club is eager to reinforce the squad before the pre-season camp begins, with the intention of building a competitive team under the new manager.

In conclusion, the next few days will be decisive for AC Milan. The arrival of Ruben Amorim and the potential signing of Mario Gila represent significant steps in the club’s summer overhaul. As GdS Amorim s arrival and Gila negotiations Milan preparing for important week dominate headlines, fans can expect official announcements shortly. The Rossoneri are clearly determined to hit the ground running in the 2024-25 season.
