FolioPitch.com – 08 August 2026 | Dinamo Moscow has launched a surprise bid for Lazio‘s Petar Ratkov, with a proposed transfer fee of €15m plus bonuses. This unexpected move has thrown Lazio‘s attacking plans into flux, with the Serbian striker now holding the key to the club’s summer.
Ratkov has been in impressive form, scoring six goals in his last four friendlies under Gennaro Gattuso. His signing in January from Red Bull Salzburg was seen as a coup for Lazio’s scouting operation, and his departure would be a significant loss for the club.
Lazio, however, are determined not to be caught unprepared. They have two replacements ready in case Ratkov decides to leave. Their preferred option is Franjo Ivanović, a 2003-born Benfica forward who is currently on loan with an obligation to buy. However, Benfica are currently unwilling to sanction a permanent sale at a fee that Lazio can afford.
Should Benfica refuse to budge, Lazio would turn to their alternative and formalise a €15m proposal for Sassuolo’s Andrea Pinamonti. The Italy international, an Inter academy product, has been a reliable Serie A scorer and would offer Gattuso a proven domestic option.
Ratkov’s decision now rests with him, but it’s clear that Lazio are eager to cash in on a player who has become an emblem of their scouting operation. If he were to leave, it would be a significant blow to the club’s attacking plans, and it remains to be seen whether they can replace him with a player of similar quality.
