Done Deal Vlahovic Seals 3-Year Besiktas Contract, Rejects Serie A Offers

FolioPitch.com – 12 August 2026 | Dusan Vlahovic has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Turkish giants Besiktas, bringing an end to a lengthy transfer saga that saw the Serbia international reject offers from several high-profile clubs in Serie A.

The 26-year-old striker, who had been a free agent since his contract with Juventus expired on June 30, had been expected to make a big-money move to one of the top teams in Italy, with clubs like Milan, Napoli, and Roma reportedly keen on securing his services.

However, after failing to agree on salary terms with any of these clubs, Vlahovic has opted for a more lucrative deal with Besiktas, who are understood to be offering him a whopping €8m per season, plus performance-related bonuses that could take his earnings up to €10m.

Vlahovic’s decision to join Besiktas marks a significant coup for the Turkish club’s new coach, Vincenzo Italiano, who has made no secret of his desire to reunite with the striker, whom he worked with during a highly successful campaign at Fiorentina.

The move is also seen as a major blow to the Serie A clubs that had been pursuing Vlahovic, who had been one of the most in-demand players in the transfer market over the summer.

Besiktas chief Serdal Adali is set to return to Istanbul on Wednesday, August 12, after finalizing the paperwork for Vlahovic’s transfer, which is expected to be completed in the coming days.

Vlahovic’s arrival at Besiktas is expected to boost the club’s attacking options, and he will be hoping to make an immediate impact in the Turkish Super Lig.

In a statement, Vlahovic expressed his delight at joining Besiktas, saying: ‘I’m thrilled to be joining Besiktas and I’m looking forward to working with Vincenzo Italiano again. I’m confident that we can achieve great things together.’

Besiktas, meanwhile, have been quick to welcome Vlahovic to the club, saying: ‘We’re delighted to announce the signing of Dusan Vlahovic on a three-year contract. We believe he has the talent and experience to make a real impact for us in the coming season.’

Vlahovic’s move to Besiktas marks the end of an era for the striker, who had been one of the key players for Juventus since joining the club from Fiorentina in 2022.

He will now be looking to make a fresh start in Turkey, where he will be hoping to lead Besiktas to success in the coming season.

With his arrival, Besiktas will be looking to build on their impressive performance in the Turkish Super Lig last season, where they finished as runners-up to Istanbul Basaksehir.

Vlahovic’s signing is a major coup for the Turkish club, and he will be hoping to make an immediate impact in the coming season.
