Fiorentina Secures Ivory Coast Star Oulaï in €29m Deal from Trabzonspor

FolioPitch.com – 19 July 2026 | Fiorentina has completed the transfer of Ivory Coast midfielder Christ Inao Oulaï from Trabzonspor, with the player arriving in Italy to undergo medical tests. The highly anticipated Video Oulaï arrives from Trabzonspor to complete Fiorentina transfer was confirmed as the 20-year-old landed at Bologna airport on Wednesday night. This move marks a significant investment for the Tuscan club, which is building a competitive squad for the upcoming Serie A season.

The deal, worth over €29 million including add-ons, represents one of Fiorentina’s largest expenditures this summer. Oulaï, a central midfielder who featured for Ivory Coast at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is expected to bring dynamism and defensive solidity to the midfield. The Video Oulaï arrives from Trabzonspor to complete Fiorentina transfer highlights the club’s ambition to strengthen its core after finishing mid-table last season.

Oulaï’s arrival was captured on social media, with fans eagerly awaiting his official presentation. The Ivorian international is expected to sign a five-year contract, making him a key part of the project under manager Raffaele Palladino. The Video Oulaï arrives from Trabzonspor to complete Fiorentina transfer underscores Fiorentina’s aggressive approach in the transfer market, having already secured Viery, Radu Dragusin, Alex Jimenez, and Arthur Atta earlier in the window.

A Promising Talent

Born in 2006, Oulaï rose through the ranks in Ivory Coast before moving to Trabzonspor in 2023. His performances in the Turkish Super Lig caught the attention of European scouts, and his display at the 2026 World Cup solidified his reputation as a box-to-box midfielder with excellent tackling and passing range. Fiorentina’s scouting network identified him as a long-term replacement for aging midfielders, and the club moved swiftly to secure his signature.

The transfer fee, which could rise to €35 million with performance-based incentives, reflects the high regard in which Oulaï is held. He is expected to compete for a starting spot alongside established players like Sofyan Amrabat and Gaetano Castrovilli. With his energy and tactical discipline, Oulaï adds depth and versatility to the midfield.

Fiorentina’s Summer Overhaul

Fiorentina has been one of the busiest clubs in Serie A this summer, investing heavily to improve their squad. The addition of Oulaï follows the signings of goalkeeper Viery, defender Radu Dragusin (on loan from Juventus), right-back Alex Jimenez, and midfielder Arthur Atta. These arrivals signal a clear intent to challenge for European qualification after a disappointing 10th-place finish last term.

Sporting director Daniele Pradè emphasized the importance of Oulaï’s arrival: “He is a player with immense potential. We have tracked him for over a year, and we are delighted to bring him to Florence. The Video Oulaï arrives from Trabzonspor to complete Fiorentina transfer is the result of hard work by our scouting team and negotiations with Trabzonspor.”

The club’s strategy focuses on blending youth with experience, and Oulaï fits perfectly. His ability to play as both a defensive midfielder and a central midfielder offers tactical flexibility. Fiorentina fans can expect to see him in action during pre-season friendlies before the Serie A campaign kicks off.

Conclusion

The completion of the Oulaï transfer marks a statement of intent from Fiorentina. With a talented young core and a proven coach, the club aims to return to the upper echelons of Italian football. The Video Oulaï arrives from Trabzonspor to complete Fiorentina transfer is not just a transaction but a symbol of Fiorentina’s renewed ambition. As the player settles in Florence, all eyes will be on how quickly he adapts to Serie A and makes an impact for La Viola.
