Leao’s Transfer Stalemate: Only Two Offers as Moretto Leao Sale Remains at a Complete Standstill

FolioPitch.com – 17 July 2026 | AC Milan‘s summer transfer plans hinge on the sale of Rafael Leao, but according to recent reports, the situation is far from moving forward. The Moretto Leao sale remains at a complete standstill with only two offers received, leaving the Portuguese winger in a state of limbo. Despite his public desire to leave the Rossoneri earlier this year, concrete interest has been scarce, and the market has not responded as expected.

The Moretto Leao sale remains at a complete standstill with only two offers received, as confirmed by transfer expert Matteo Moretto. Speaking via MilanNews, Moretto revealed that Leao’s situation ‘remains at a complete standstill’ with only two proposals on the table: one from Turkish giants Galatasaray and another from Fenerbahce. Notably, there is no interest from the Premier League, La Liga, or even the Saudi Pro League, leagues that Leao would reportedly prefer.

Leao’s value has dropped after a disappointing season and an underwhelming World Cup campaign with Portugal. His performances have not attracted the big-money offers Milan anticipated. The Moretto Leao sale remains at a complete standstill with only two offers received, and the player himself is stalling. He does not want to move to Turkey and is hoping for opportunities in England or Spain as the transfer window progresses.

For now, Leao is expected to join AC Milan’s preseason squad in Perth at the end of July. If no deal materializes, head coach Ruben Amorim will have to integrate a player who may not fit his tactical system. The stalemate is a major headache for Milan’s sporting directors, who need the funds from Leao’s sale to reinvest in other targets.

With only two offers from Turkish clubs, Leao’s future remains uncertain. The Moretto Leao sale remains at a complete standstill with only two offers received, and time is running out for all parties involved. Milan may need to lower their asking price or convince Leao to accept a move to the Süper Lig. Otherwise, the winger could stay at San Siro for another season, creating potential tension with the coaching staff.

In conclusion, the transfer saga of Rafael Leao is at a critical juncture. The Moretto Leao sale remains at a complete standstill with only two offers received, and unless new suitors emerge, the Rossoneri may have to make a difficult decision. Whether Leao ends up in Turkey or stays in Milan, the coming weeks will determine the trajectory of his career and AC Milan’s summer window.
