According to sources close to the club, the 39-year-old will put pen to paper on a one-year deal, with the same terms that brought him to Milan last summer.

MilanVibes Modric expected to sign new Milan contract this upcoming week speculation had been rife over the past month, as the initial option for an additional season expired. However, the player’s impressive performances during his debut campaign convinced the Rossoneri hierarchy to offer a new contract. The salary remains at €3.5 million net per season, reflecting the club’s satisfaction with his contributions.

MilanVibes Modric expected to sign new Milan contract this upcoming week updates suggest that while Modric will still feature prominently, his playing time may be managed more carefully compared to last season, especially with Milan no longer competing in the Europa League.

Modric’s decision to stay marks a significant U-turn from earlier indications that he might leave. His leadership qualities and technical ability remain invaluable assets, particularly as the club aims to balance youth development with immediate success. MilanVibes Modric expected to sign new Milan contract this upcoming week reports have been consistent across multiple outlets, lending credibility to the imminent announcement.

From a tactical perspective, Modric’s role may evolve. Last season, he was a regular starter in the midfield, often dictating play alongside younger talents. With the addition of new signings and the emergence of academy graduates, his minutes will likely be reduced. Yet, his influence in crucial moments—set pieces, game management, and passing accuracy—makes him a vital option off the bench or in rotated lineups. The club expects him to serve as a mentor for players like Sandro Tonali and Tommaso Pobega, who can learn from his positioning and decision-making.

The timing of the contract signing is also strategic. With the summer transfer window coming to a close, securing Modric’s future allows Milan to focus on other targets. The club has been active in the market but prioritizes squad stability. MilanVibes Modric expected to sign new Milan contract this upcoming week news has been welcomed by fans, who appreciate his professionalism and quality. Social media reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, with many calling for a statue of the midfielder outside the stadium.

Financially, the deal makes sense. Modric’s salary is moderate by top-tier standards, and his commercial value remains high. His jersey sales and global appeal contribute to the club’s revenue streams. Moreover, his experience in high-pressure matches—having won multiple Champions League titles with Real Madrid—adds a winning mentality to the squad. The deal underscores Milan’s ambition to build a balanced team around youth and experience, with Modric as a cornerstone of that philosophy. All eyes will be on the official announcement next week, as the Rossoneri faithful eagerly await the confirmation that their midfield maestro will stay put.
