Milan Open to Ricci Sale as Amorim Evaluates Midfielder’s Future

FolioPitch.com – 20 July 2026 | According to a recent report by Matteo Moretto, Moretto Milan willing to consider Ricci offers as Amorim makes initial assessement has become a key storyline at AC Milan this summer. The Rossoneri are reportedly open to listening to proposals for midfielder Samuele Ricci, who joined from Torino just last year for around €23 million. As new head coach Ruben Amorim begins his tenure, the Italian international finds himself under scrutiny, with his style of play potentially not aligning perfectly with Amorim’s tactical vision.

Ricci, 24, made 34 appearances in his debut season at San Siro, providing four assists but failing to deliver consistent performances. His inconsistency has raised questions about his long-term place in the squad. Amorim has publicly stated that every player will have a chance during pre-season, but the club’s willingness to entertain offers suggests that Ricci’s position is far from secure.

The Moretto Milan willing to consider Ricci offers as Amorim makes initial assessement report, shared via Fabrizio Romano’s platform, indicates that Ricci is one of the players to watch in the coming weeks. If a suitable offer arrives, Milan would evaluate it seriously. Amorim’s final verdict will be crucial, but the mere possibility of a departure has sparked interest from several clubs. For Ricci, who is currently not at the top of the midfield pecking order, a move might also be appealing if it means more playing time.

However, selling Ricci would come with consequences. The Italian is association-trained, meaning his departure would reduce Milan’s quota of homegrown players for UEFA competitions. This squad-rule factor could complicate any decision. Nonetheless, the club’s financial flexibility and desire to reshape the squad under Amorim may outweigh such concerns.

As pre-season progresses, all eyes will be on Amorim’s assessments. The Moretto Milan willing to consider Ricci offers as Amorim makes initial assessement update serves as a clear signal that no player is untouchable. Ricci’s future may depend on how he adapts to Amorim’s methods in the coming weeks. If he fails to impress, a transfer could materialize before the window closes.

Several clubs have been linked with Ricci, given his international experience and potential. A return to Torino has been speculated, but other Serie A sides and clubs abroad are also monitoring the situation. Milan’s asking price is expected to be around the €23 million they paid, though negotiations could vary.

In conclusion, the situation surrounding Samuele Ricci encapsulates the transition period at AC Milan. With a new coach implementing his philosophy, some players will thrive while others may seek new challenges. The Moretto Milan willing to consider Ricci offers as Amorim makes initial assessement narrative highlights the uncertainty that often accompanies a change in management. For now, Ricci must prove his worth on the training ground, or risk being moved on as Milan build for the future.
