Napoli Weighing Up Move for Ex-Juventus Striker Vlahovic if Lukaku Leaves: A Strategic Summer Transfer

FolioPitch.com – 25 July 2026 | Napoli weighing up move for ex-Juventus striker Vlahovic if Lukaku leaves is a rumor that has been circulating in the football world. As the summer transfer window heats up, Napoli is reportedly considering a move for the Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, who recently parted ways with Juventus. This move is heavily dependent on whether Romelu Lukaku will be leaving the Stadio Maradona this summer. If Lukaku does leave, Napoli will be in the market for a new center-forward, and Vlahovic could be the ideal candidate to fill the void.

Vlahovic has been without a club for almost a month now, after his contract with Juventus expired on June 30. Despite attempts by Juventus to get him to sign a new deal, the two parties were unable to come to an agreement. There were speculations that Vlahovic was holding out for a move to a top Premier League or LaLiga side, but as of now, the only concrete interest has come from Besiktas.

However, according to recent updates from Tuttosport, Juventus has not entirely closed the door on Vlahovic yet. But it would require significant compromises from both sides for an agreement to be reached. Meanwhile, Napoli could be an alternative option for Vlahovic in Serie A, especially if they decide to part ways with Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca. If both Lukaku and Lucca were to leave, Rasmus Hojlund would be the only senior option at center-forward for Napoli, making Vlahovic a genuine possibility for the Partenopei.

Vlahovic is well-known to Napoli’s new head coach, Massimiliano Allegri, who coached the Serbian during his time at Juventus. Allegri had also attempted to bring Vlahovic to Milan during the previous summer transfer window. Furthermore, Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, held talks with Vlahovic’s father-agent at the beginning of June, indicating that the club has been keeping tabs on the striker.

Napoli weighing up move for ex-Juventus striker Vlahovic if Lukaku leaves is a strategic move that could benefit both parties. Vlahovic would get to play for a top Serie A side, while Napoli would get a talented striker to bolster their attack. With Allegri at the helm, Vlahovic could thrive in a system that he is already familiar with, having played under the Italian coach during his time at Juventus.

As the summer transfer window progresses, it will be interesting to see how this situation unfolds. Napoli weighing up move for ex-Juventus striker Vlahovic if Lukaku leaves is a rumor that could have significant implications for the club’s attacking lineup. If Vlahovic does join Napoli, it could be a major coup for the club, and a testament to Allegri’s ability to attract top talent to the Stadio Maradona.

In conclusion, Napoli weighing up move for ex-Juventus striker Vlahovic if Lukaku leaves is a rumor that holds a lot of weight. With the club’s attacking lineup potentially undergoing significant changes this summer, Vlahovic could be the ideal signing to strengthen their squad. As the transfer window heats up, fans will be eagerly waiting to see if this move materializes, and what other surprises the summer has in store for Napoli.
