FolioPitch.com – 17 July 2026 | In a bizarre turn of events, the transfer saga surrounding Ivory Coast midfielder Christ Inai Oulai has taken a dramatic twist, as reports emerge that Oulai is finally ready to join Fiorentina for a €30 million fee after what was initially feared to be a kidnapping attempt by Trabzonspor. This article provides a comprehensive report Oulai ready for Fiorentina at 30m after Trabzonspor kidnap explained, detailing every step of the extraordinary sequence.

The 20-year-old had been expected to arrive in Italy earlier today, with a flight prepared from Istanbul to Florence. However, the flight was abruptly cancelled as further details needed to be ironed out. What followed were truly bizarre reports from Turkey, claiming that an individual impersonating a Trabzonspor representative had picked Oulai up from the airport after he flew to Istanbul from the Ivory Coast. This sparked fears of a kidnapping, but Sky Sport Italia quickly clarified that the player was not in danger. Instead, Oulai had taken the contracts to a trusted lawyer outside of the two clubs for careful examination.

The confusion underscores the tense nature of the transfer, which has been marred by miscommunication. However, according to Sportitalia and SpaceViola, the contracts have now been reviewed and signed. Oulai is ready to fly out tonight, putting an end to the speculation. This report Oulai ready for Fiorentina at 30m after Trabzonspor kidnap explained highlights the meticulous approach of the young star, who wanted to ensure every clause was in his favor before committing.

The deal is structured at €30 million including add-ons, with Trabzonspor also securing a 20% sell-on clause for any future transfer. Given that Trabzonspor acquired Oulai last year from Bastia for just €5.5 million plus a 20% profit clause, they stand to make a significant profit. The Ivory Coast international has already amassed 13 senior caps and participated in the 2026 World Cup in North America, despite only turning 20 in April. In his debut season at Trabzonspor, he made 31 appearances, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
