FolioPitch.com – 17 August 2026 | The transfer window is heating up, and the latest news from the football world is that Torino has sealed a potential €15m deal to sign Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri. The Brazilian stopper, who spent just one season with the Premier League side, is set to join the Italian club on an initial loan deal worth €1m, with an option to buy for an additional €14m.
Perri’s departure from Elland Road comes as a result of the arrival of England international James Trafford, who has become the most expensive signing in Leeds’ history with a €52m (£45m) transfer fee. Trafford’s signing has made Perri surplus to requirements, paving the way for his move to Torino.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper has been a key player for Leeds, and his experience and skills will be a valuable addition to the Torino squad. Under the guidance of manager Ignazio Abate, Perri is expected to be the first-choice keeper for the Italian side, who finished the 2025-26 Serie A season in 12th place.
Perri’s move to Torino marks a new chapter in his career, and he will be looking to make a positive impact in the Serie A. With his experience and skills, he is certainly capable of doing so. The transfer deal is a testament to Torino’s ambition and commitment to strengthening their squad, and fans of the club will be excited to see Perri in action.
The deal is subject to Perri completing a medical and finalizing his paperwork, but it is understood that the transfer is progressing smoothly. Once the deal is completed, Perri will become the latest addition to Torino’s squad, and fans will be eager to see him in action.
Overall, the potential €15m deal for Perri’s transfer to Torino is a significant coup for the Italian club, and it will be interesting to see how he performs in the Serie A. With Trafford’s arrival at Leeds, Perri’s departure was always a possibility, and it will be fascinating to see how both goalkeepers adapt to their new roles.
